The SFI SAM1 Action
Under the government's Sustainable Farming Incentive program, farmers can receive £97 per year + £6/ha per year for assessing their soil and producing a soil management plan. (SAM1)
The aim of the action is that you:
- understand the condition of your soil
- effectively plan how to increase the long-term health, productivity and resilience of your soil
Main requirements
The main requirements of the action are that you:
- Test your soil for organic matter every 5 years
- Produce a soil management plan that is reviewed annually
Testing your soil with Agri Soil
